These lip lacquers can be brought individually or as a set of five. You won't be making a saving by buying the set of five, as they are £3 individually or £15 for the set. I brought mine from
MUA's website, but you can also get them from Superdrug. There are more than 21 shades to choose from, but the two packs I decided on was Hollywood Kiss and Softly Spoken. I wasn't aware at the time, but two colours are in both of these packs (Firecracker and Flair). Softly Spoken is more of the nudes/browns and Hollywood kiss has the red/browns.
On the back of the box these come in MUA has this to say: "Long-wear matte finish lip lacquer. Get the ultimate velvet matte pout with this richly pigmented, silky smooth lip lacquer. The quick dry formula glides on effortlessly to leave a gorgeous matte finish that is smudge proof and long lasting."
I am going to test out the 8 colours I have to decide whether what they say is true, I'm going to leave the product on for around 4/5 hours and comment on; how long it takes to dry, whether it is patchy, if it can be layered, how well the application is, whether food or drinks affect it, if there is any dryness and if any cracking has taken place/how long till the cracking or flaking away starts.
The colours I'm going to be trying out are:
- Poise (Softly Spoken)
- Firecracker (Softly Spoken | Hollywood Kiss)
- Tranquility (Softly Spoken)
- Hustle (Softly Spoken)
- Flair (Softly Spoken | Hollywood Kiss)
- Zest (Hollywood Kiss)
- Passion (Hollywood Kiss)
- Reckless (Hollywood Kiss)
