Music Faves - Highly Suspect
Highly Suspect are an american rock trio, who was founded by twins Rich and Ryan Meyers and their best friend Johnny Stevens. They all attended Dennis-Yarmouth Regional High School together and they got their start in 2009 as a bar cover band in Massachusetts, they played Jimi Hendrex, Pink Floyd and Sublime.
After realising that songwriting was their true passion, they relocated to Brooklyn which is where they recorded their first EP, called The Worst Humans, with Joel Hammond who produced it.
They premiered their first music video for their song Lydia, on MTV on the 25th June 2015 and their first full length album Mister Asylum was released July 17th the same year. 2015 was a good year for them, with them also selected for the iTunes 2015 new artist spotlight, and they also toured the United States early in the year of 2015 with the likes of Halestorm, Deftones and more. They were also nominated for two Grammy's (7th October 2015). One for their album Mister Asylum (best rock album) and another for their song Lydia (best rock song).
They have also toured with Black Stone Cherry, Hailstorm and Shinedown for the Carnival of Madness tour, with them being the first act performing every night.
